Lind, 84, Fertile Minnesota, died Tuesday November 29, 1994 at the Fair Meadow Nursing Home Fertile,Mn. Lester was born December 24,1909 at Becida,Minnesota to John and Elizabeth (Fristrom) Lind. He attened school in Becida and moved to the farm near Erskine at age 7 and attended Lake Region Country School. He grew up on the farm and became the third generation that farmed the homestead. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith as a young man, he sang in the Lima Church choir. He entered the Fair Meadow Nursing home in 1993. He is survived by six sisters, Ina (Art) Gulbranson of Fertile, Evelyn (Earl) Larson of Starbuck, Minnesota; Bernice (Don) Halvorson of Minneapolis; Jennie (Bill) Lee of Fertile, Winnefred TerWisscha and Joyce (Robert) Johnston of Minneapolis. A number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 3, 1994 at Union Lake Free Lutheran Church , with Pastor Harris Van Someren officiating. Pallbearers were Art Lind Jr, David Lind, Ray Lind Jr, Bruce Johnson, John Nansen, Roger Larson, Ronnie Halvorson, Mike TerWisscha and Bill Lee Jr. Interment in Lima Cemetery.
