Posted on: Polk County Queries Board URL: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Mn/Polk?read=296 Surname: STGEORGE ------------------------- Mary, Edward was the brother of my great-grandfather, William. The family consisted of: Antoine (b Apr 1866) Louis (b Mar 1868) Clement (b ?) Edouard/Edward (b ?) Etienne/Steven (b Jan 1876) Francois/Frank (b Apr 1880) William (b 22 Mar 1882) Sophie (b Dec 1887) Maxim (b Dec 1895). To the best of my knowledge, all my great-grandfather's siblings were born in Crookston, Minnesota, moved to Fort Macleod, Alberta sometime after the 1900 census and continued on to Yakima, Washington as you have said. My great-grandfather went east instead and moved to Fall River, Massachusetts in 1921. My grandparents in Providence, RI Conrad and Marguerite (St George) Cote have visited their cousins in Yakima a couple of times over the years. As for the Boiselle name, I don't have any in my lineage. I recommend you contact the American-Canadian Genealogical Society in Manchester, NH (www.acgs.org) of whom I am a member. Their library is probably about the best collection of French-Canadian info in the US. Thanks and good luck.

Mike, Why don't you contact John St. George, Rural Route, Bagley, MN 56621. 218-694-2417. I would guess John is in his mid 80s. I think this may be the family you are looking for. I've never heard of any other St. George family. This is the only St. George family in our entire phone book which covers quite a large area. Bagley is in Clearwater Co. just to the East of Polk Co. The birth and death records are in the Clearwater County Recorders Office, Courthouse, 303 N Main, Bagley, MN 56621. 218-694-6129.
