Hi all, I'm looking for any information on the following Nicollet county family, found living as of the 1920 census at 423 Nicollet Avenue in North Mankato. - James Johnston, age 60 (so born ~1860), born in Canada, farmer and railroad worker. Mother born in Canada, father born in Scotland. - Mary (maiden name unknown), his wife, parents German. One of their sons was Walter Johnston (1897-1969), my wife's grandfather.
