First off let me introduce myself. My name is Sharon and I live in Aloha, OR and I have been researching my KROHN ancestors who came to the US from Sweden. I believe that they immigrated in 1880. Coming thru New York but I have no idea how they came to Minnesota from there. Here is what I know.... Peter Krohn b. Sept 19, 1841 Sweden m. Christina Persson or Person b. March 13, 1850 Sweden, they were married in Sweden. They came across the "pond" with four children John Alfred b. May 14, 1872 m. Dema ?? date unknown in ?? Karl August "Charley" b. Nov 24, 1873 m. Carnellia "Nellie" Barnhart, in Idaho Hilda Louisa b. July 5, 1875 m. J. August Peterson in Kasota, LeSuer Co, MN Gustaf Emil b. April 15, 1880 m. Emma L. Grafa, Idaho The following children were I believe born in Minnesota. I believe in or around St Peter. Annie Sophie b. February 12, 1883 died young no further info. Henry William b. March 3, 1885 m. ??, d. ?? Lilly Mary b. March 7, 1887 m. Pete Swen Person Robert Amandus b. November 21, 1888 m. Carrie Lyle Krahn September 2, 1915 in Bemidji, Beltrami Co, Minnesota (these are my Grandparents) Esther Elvira b. January 11, 1891, m. Albert Pehrson McNeill June 27, 1942 in Birmingham, Michigan. Does anyone have access to any books or records which might give me some clues to these folks. I can't find anything online and it is kind of expensive to ask court houses to do searches when I don't know a lot of details. If I knew for certain that any or all of the last group of children had indeed been born in St Peter I would request copies of birth certificates. I should qualify that I do know that my grandfather Robert Amandus was born there (St Peter). Any help or suggestions would be gladly received!! Sharon Semi Clueless in Oregon
