I am researching the PEYTON Family of Mower County, MN. I am wondering if there are any descendants of Henry Peyton and Mary Ann Finley. This is the info that I have on this family and hopefully someon on this list will be researching them. Henry and Mary Ann (FINLEY) Peyton were born in Ireland and came to Rawdon, Montcalm county, Quebec about 1830-1831. they had a total of nine children. Their youngest child Reynolds Peyton married Jane Burns in Rawdon and they had several children also. Their youngest child William Reynolds married Carrie Maggie Carrell and they moved to Mower County, MN and they also had three children Vera, Ruth and Reynolds. William Reynolds Peyton died in 1947 in Mower County. His wife Carrie died in 1953 in Mower County. I am looking for any living descendants of this Peyton Family. Reynolds Peyton had a brother John who married a Margaret McEwen in Rawdon, Quebec and had at least two sons. After the two sons were born in Rawdon they supposedly moved to Montreal. But I have been unable to locate this brother and his family anywhere until 1891 Census for Algoma County, Ontario where I found John and Margarets oldest son James married and had three children at the time. They then had five more children and James died in 1910 in Sudbury, Ontario, CA. If anyone on this list know of this family please contact me. I am desparately trying to find this family and seem to hit brickwalls every where I turn. I found someone who was researching this family only to be two years too late as the woman had died and her daughter although sent me her mothers work it didn't help me locate any more of this family.
