    3. Bobbi, I am also a descendant of John EMMERS. His burial is an interesting story. BTW see for my tree: > http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?db=lleschan My now long diseased grandmother, Agnes Petronella Mader FRANK, was the granddaughter of John EMMERS. She told me many stories about Petronella EMMERS, few if any on John. Well, anyway on to his death. He was buried in Heidelberg, MN with a fine metal marker. Along about 1930, 40 the parish priest got tired of the messy bramble covered cemetery and decided to bulldoze ,i.e., cleanup, the whole thing into an adjacent creek, my uncle, alois, says . Piles of markers were on the church grounds. As of 1980, I found none and Alois said he never seen one for John. I know it was illegal, but that's never stopped priest before and since. I don't remember why I don't know his death date? I'm copying the other active EMMERS descendant, Malinda and her mother Gerry. Maybe they know. That's it. Yours Ed SCHANUS.
