    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: mkbiddy Surnames: Doherty, Cantwell, Williams Classification: obituary Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.minnesota.counties.lesueur/822/mb.ashx Message Board Post: The many friends of Mrs. Samuel Dougherty were grieved to hear of her death, which occurred at her home in Clontarf on Christmas Day, about 4:30 pm. She had been ailing for a week from a complication of liver and bowel troubles , which induced gastric fever. Dr. Cuff was called to attend her, who realizing her condition being a critical one, advised them to send for her daughter, Mrs. Harry Haling who arrived Saturday night from River Falls, Wis. In the death of Mrs. Doughtery the community loses a woman of strong and noble character, whose name was a synonym for benevolence and kindness. To her aged husband particularly she will be the greatest loss, and to him and the daughter the sympathy of a host of friends is extended in their bereavement. The funeral took place from St. Malachy's church, Clontarf, on Wednesday. Morris Sun, December 28, 1899. Ellen Cantwell Doherty's parents were Margaret Williams and Nicholas Cantwell. She was a sister to Patrick Cantwell. Ellen's husband and Patrick Cantwell's wife Sarah Doherty were brother and sister as well.
