Any relation to John F. Winterfeld? His widow, Anna was our neighbor. John died on July 7, 1972, at the age of 72. Anna died in 1986. She always thought I was special. Even after her stroke, she still acknowledged that she knew me, even though she could no longer speek. Their sons, Kenneth and Merlyn Winterfeld (both deceased) lived in Aldrich Township, Wadena County, MN. Their daughter, Deloris Winterfeld, married Charles T. Reece, but were later divorced.
