    1. Re: [MNLESUEU] Surnames Davis, Hites, Ritchie, Reed
    2. The two Davis lines I mentioned came from Illinois and from Ohio. This is yet a third in the area. This is not surprising as Davis is a very common name. 3. Doug: Actually, my Davis's were in Belmont County, OH 1804 - 1827. The family, and related families, moved to Vermilion County, IL 1827 - 1849. Then Black Hawk & Benton Counties, IA by 1849. After that the children were getting married and moving different directions and some went to LeSueur. I wonder if either of those places in Illinois or Ohio is the same as your Davis's? Carolyn

    3. Carolyn, I see a possible connection/migration to my REED line in your email. I am looking for ancestors of Nathan Reed and his daughters Melinda and Amanda Reed, b OH, married brothers Mahlon and Anderson Bailey in Tipton Co., IN, moved to MN (some family members were in Kasota, LeSeuer Co., MN) This seems to similarly follow your moving pattern below and I see REED is one of your family names. Any help? Thanks, Diana Carolyn Olson wrote: > Doug: > > Actually, my Davis's were in Belmont County, OH 1804 - 1827. The family, > and related families, moved to Vermilion County, IL 1827 - 1849.
