Which set of Davises are you researching? I know of a set in Kasota and Cleveland and another in Cleveland and Sharon Townships. The Davis's I am researching came from Benton & Blackhawk Counties, IA. They were the children of David P. Davis (b. 1800 in OH) and Levina Jane Clifton (b. 1808 in OH). All I know is that some of their children moved to LeSueur, MN. Susan Jane Davis (b. 1834) married John Ritchie and moved to LeSueur in 1862; Rebecca Davis (b. 1840)married Daniel Hites and moved to LeSueur in 1860s; Sarah Davis (b. 1844) married Levi Ramsay and moved to LeSueur, MN in the 1860s. It is possible some of the Davis grandchildren also came there in the late 1800s. Sorry don't know what towns they would have been in. Carolyn
