Surnames: Savidge, Hill Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DIB.2ACE/340.2.1.1 Message Board Post: I am assuming by your follow-up post that Archibald was not a son of Charles. I had not seen any other Savidges in LeSueur that he could have been a son of, but of course it was possible that he was a nephew or younger cousin. Looking closer at the census information, Archibald would have been born about 1836 which would have put Charles at about 12 years old and not a very likely father. Archibald Savidge was a member of Company K, in the Seventh Infantry. His company was mustered September 24, 1862. He was promoted to corporal. He was wounded severly in the battle of Tupelo. He was killed in the battle of Nashville, 16 December 1864. Nearby to where he lived was Corlett Hill and Cinderella Savidge Hill, b. abt 1842 in Ohio. I was wondering if you had found Cinderalla in your research?
