    1. [MNLESUEU] GRANDFATHER HALL
    2. Hello, Is there someone who would please help me find my grandfather, CHARLES OTIS HALL. He was born in Southern MN, city unknown. Born on JULY,22,1883. Parents unknown. The earliest age I am able to find him is 16 years old working on a farm in DANVILLE, MN for GEORGE WALKER. As per 1900 census. He maried my GRANDMOTHER, BERTHA SPLETT about 1907. They had five children; GLADYS, JUANITA (PEG), ELTON (PAT) KENNETH & DONALD. Donald died in 1918 of poisoning from a chemical named "PARIS-GREEN", he was about four years old. CHARLES OTIS HALL sometimes used his middle name for a first name. He lived & worked in the MAPLETON, MANKATO area as a laborer & bartender. He worked for his father-in -law, CARL SPLETT a THE MAPLETON HOUSE, also THE AMORT FAMILY at their bar & hotel until about 1928 when he & BERTHA divorced. he moved to ST.PAUL, MN. where he died on APRIL 13, 1929. During 1910 or 1915 he & BERTHA lived on FRONT ST. in MANKATO. My GRANDFATHER, CHARLES is buried in ST.PAUL, MN in a unmarked grave at FOREST LAWN CEMETERY. I have wondered if the "accidental death of his son, DONALD had anything to do with he & BERTHA divorcing and the uncared for grave. On DONALD'S death certificate under cause of death it reads intestional bleeding, accidental??. I hope someone will take the time to just point me in the right direction. The HALL name comes up alot in the area's of LEXINGTON, MINNESOTA LAKE. GARDEN CITY plus all over the counties in the tri-county area. Please contact me if you have any information. I live in ST.PAUL so I could search for information at the Minnesota History Center for a trade-off. Thank you, Judy(Hall) Sorenson [email protected]
