    1. Re: PECH and KRAL
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/DIB.2ACE/325.2 Message Board Post: In the 1880 Census for Montgomery, John and Anna Krall were living on Anna's parents, Martin and Agnes Pech's farm. Martin Pech was farmer and John Krall was farm laborer/son-in-law. In the 1900 Census, Montgomery, Le Sueur, MN it's just John Kral and his children; John, Am(e)y, Emma, Fred, Christena and Edward. The 1900 Census says John Kral emigrated from Bohemia in 1867. Fred is about 14 in 1900, so born around 1884. 1910 Census, Montgomery, it's John F. Kral (born about 1858) living with Emma, Fred and Christina. Fred is 24 and a laborer on the farm. 1920 Census, John's living with daughter Emma and son Fredrick :-) who's 34. John's mother was "Czech" (I think Bohemia, where he was born, is actually what we think of as Austria). There's also a Frank Kral and his family in Montgomery in 1920, who came over from Bohemia in 1967 who's 59 years old to John's 67 -- could be younger brother or cousin. 1930 Census, still John hanging in there living with Emma and Fred, in their 40's and says John was from Czechoslovakia. Frank Kral is living in Montgomery too but his son, Frank is now in charge of the farm. "Mary" his "father's wife" is living with them also. There's nearly of page of Kral's living in Montgomery, Le Sueur, MN in 1930. Checking other places, Fred Kral, born 1885 died in 1968 and is buried in the Czech National Cemetery in Montgomery, Section E. There's also an Anna Kral, born Pech, 26 June 1856 who died 4 Nov 1895 and whose spouse was "Jan" (which would be the Czech equivalent of "John") She's in the Czech National Cemetery also, Section "E" as is Fred. Emma Kral "with Jan & Anna" in Section E, born 1883 and died 1941. Ah, found dead "Jan," he's son, John (eldest) born in 1880 and hit by a train in 1905. There's another "Jan" Kral, born 1953, who died in 1937 and spouse, "Ann Pech". Has his parents name and that he was born in Protovin, Cz. I did look for Pech but didn't find anythingother than the 1880 census for Martin and Agnes. Could try harder with other children if you'd like?
