I know have notes somewhere but cannot remember how LaForest fits into the larger set of Everetts in the Le Sueur area. Avery Pettis' parents were Ira & Martha (Jury) Pettis. Ira's parents were John & Sarah (Hill) Pettis. John's were Charles & Sarah Ann (Hosford) Pettis. Charles was a son of Stephen & Catherine (Wing) Pettis. Stephen was the main ancestor of Pettises in the Le Sueur area, although he died in Illinois. Doug Peterson
