    3. Ancestry.com has a transcription of the cemeteries for 11 different counties in South Central Minnesota which John Dalby of Faribault has compiled. This is now a pay site on Ancestry.com (it was free for awhile). Here is a site that tells more about John's work which is available on CD-ROM & also has been donated to several historical societies in the Le Sueur-Rice Co., Minnesota area. He includes most if not all of the cemeteries in Le Sueur Co., MN where many of our relatives are buried and also has info. on births, census records, etc. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnrice/dalby.htm Glenn Gohr (List Manager) [email protected]

    3. I have been told that there is a 1857 Minnesota Territorial Census and would like to know if anyone has it or the 1860 or 1870 census. I found Mathew in the 1880 in Helena, Scott, Minnesota with his mother Katerina (b 1843) from Bohemia. Now I would like to find his father so I know we would have to go back to at least 1870 or even 1860. They also may of been in New Prague before they moved to Helena. Both towns are in the same County. I will put this on the Scott county also hoping for all the help I can get. Thanks for any help. Sincerely grateful Donna [email protected]

There may have been an ISBN number on the reprint. http://www.mnhs.org/library/search/index.html The index for the biography portions of this two volume set is posted on either the Nicolett or LeSueur county Minnesota GenWeb pages. 3. Recently I made a trip to Elysian, Minnesota and copied down inscriptions from some of the tombstones at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery near Elysian. I am trying to track down the Roemhildts who are buried there. I am able to place most of the Roemhildts there into my family tree, but several of them I do not know where they fit in. All the Roemhildts in LeSueur Co., MN descend from three brothers--Traugott, Berthold, and Adelhardt Roemhildt. These are the Roemhildts that I cannot place into the family. Does anyone know the parents or ancestors of these Roemhildts buried in the church cemetery there? 2. Is anyyone looking for John Walsh married to Ann Hanlon? I think they probably immigrated from Ireland to Kilkenny, Le Sueur Co. sometime in the late 1860s. According to the CA Death Cert. of their son, William H., they may be from Co. Killkenny, Ireland. I was trying to connect Ann to my Hanlon family but think that I am barking up the wrong tree (no pun intended). Please feel free to contact me if you think this may be your family. 2. Fickenwirth, Fred & Dorthie
    3. To Joan Smith. I haven't forgotten you. I have been all thru my Bode's but cannot make a connection. However, I'll bet if we could get back just one more generation, we'd get a match. My great-aunt, Anna Maria Henrietta Muller was b. 2 Aug 1853 in McLean Twnshp, Shelby, Ohio. She marr. 23 May 1873(Prob. in St. Peter or LeSueur, Minn) Reinhold Frederick Bode, who was b. in Hanover, Germany. The wife went by "Mary", and I have her genealogy but not Reinhold's. The first 10 of their children were born in LeSueur, L.S., Minn. The last 2 were born in Niagara, N.Dakota. I have names, dates and who married if that would help. I think they eventually settled in Larimore, N.Dak.--on a farm. For many years I corresponded with a Mrs. Myrtle Wells---a descendant. Eventually I got no reply so concluded she had been moved to a nursing home or deceased. Her sister was Mabel-(also of Larimore). I'm sorry that I was mistaken about the California story. Two of Mary's sisters, Rose Miller Felton and Sophie Miller McGaffey and their husbands and families moved first to N.Dak. and then early in the new century, to California--where they lived out their lives. So far as I know, Mary lived the rest of her life on the farm in N.Dak. I don't know where you live, but we're on an island in W. Wash. where the days have been close to 60 degrees and the nights in the 40's. N.Dak and Minn sound brutally cold to me in the winter! My predecessors were made of alot tougher stuff than me! I'd love to know if you can make a connection. Dorothie
