Thank you so much for this info. The Kolar family(my mother's dad,g/mother, aunt, g/father, & two uncles came to the USA via Baltimore on 20 Sept. 1883 as reported in Leo Bacca's Book. Prokop 45, (gg/dad Marie 46, (ggm) Marie 22,(gg/a) who I believe married James Teyro in Montgomery, MN. on abt. Jan. 1884) . Franz 17, (have no record on Franz) Johann 14 ( gg/u), Joesefa 10, Carl 10,(who is most likely my g/dad) Anton 2, ( my g/uncle). Bohemia where they came from. It doesnt list the destination. The ship was Nurnberg. It appears that g/dad Charley Kolar married Anna Zvanovec in abt. 1900 in Rice Co. MN. In 1903 -1904 they moved to Blaine Co. OK. (Watonga, OK). Do you have any info on the Moudry's that also came to Blaine Co. OK. in that time period. James & Mary Moudry was very close friends to the Kolars. Sorry for the ramling e-mail but it's so great to hear about my Kolar & Zavovec families. Best regards, Eddie R. Hajek Hurst, TX.

I don't need documentation at this time. I am just looking for an accurate date and location. Charles F Foster (b. 11/23/1912) and Ruth I Culver (b. February 7, 1917) were married in 1939. That much is accepted. We have two different dates in 1939 - April 9, 1939 and July 11, 1939. The family lore (both are deceased) is that they went from S Dakota to Le Seuer, MN to get married and then they went from there to Iowa to live for a year or two before they returned to S Dakota. If SKS could either find the info or point me in the direction of where I might find it, I would appreciate it. Driving to the County courthouse is a bit out of the question at this time as I live in Oregon.

    1. [MNLESUEU] APITZ - WIGAND Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" a beautiful old photograph belonging to the APITZ Family which was taken at the Simmer Studio in Henderson, Minnesota. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with group including parents and 6 children. The parents appear to be in their 50's or 60's at the time and the children all likely in their teens to 30's at the time. Names on the back of the photograph indicate that the parents are William & Carolina APITZ and that the six children in the photograph are, William, Matilda, Louisa, Amelia, Herman, and Augusta "Gussie" APITZ. Someone also notes on the back of the photograph that they are "Grandma FITZNER's Family". Based on limited research I was able to locate information regarding this family. I find birth information for Louisa APITZ b. 8 Feb 1884 in Sharon, MN to parents William APITZ and Caroline SCHULTZ. Louisa married Albert J. WIGAND and died 14 Apr 1973 in Henderson, MN and is buried there. Her brother William APITZ was b. 27 Sept 1889 and died June 1963 in MN. 3. Would you like to claim August "George" Kuckuck too? He was found in Henderson Township, Sibley County (other side of the River from LeSueur) in 1895. He married my grandfather's sister, Ella N. Young, on January 1, 1881, in Le Sueur. It is said that August was born on February 6, 1845-48, (apparently the record is so faded they can't tell what is correct) near Bremen, Germany. He came to the United States with his parents in 1858, settling first in Illinois and in about 1858 in Tomah, WI.
