No Mielke there and it started in 1937. A 1900 map of Lone Tree shows a German Lutheran Church in the SWSW corner of Section 1. It appears that Fred Bruss once owned that land. There is no evidence of the church today. Even the 1993 "History of Chippewa County, MN" claims that Lone Tree township had no church. I am going to ask the historical society to verify this. I believe the congregation moved or rebuilt the church in the German town of Raymond, MN. And they may have moved a cemetery into town. I found two addresses for them on www.anywho.com One must be for the parish and other for the church. St Johns Lutheran Church 401 Day St N Raymond, MN 56282 (320) 967-4129 St Johns Lutheran Church 308 Menage Ave N Raymond, MN 56282 (320) 967-4445 I have to go to Willmar this week. Weather permitting I will try to check out the two cemeteries in town. You can search Land Patents here. http://www.glorecords.blm.gov/ Click on Search Land Patents Pick Minnesota and use just Mielke. One of the William Mielke's (you have b. 1889) would have been old enough for two of them. I found no obit for Otto nor Augusta in Montevideo Leader/News. Raymond had a newspaper that started in 1902. They have microfilm on it at the historical society. http://kandimuseum.com/ResearchCenter.htm Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
