They may be school books, all are hand written around 1881. Is it possible that these could pertain to your family. Everything is hand written in Norweigan, and I can't read it. I have sent out several messages trying to reach this family, and if I can't find them, I am going to try putting them up for sale on an on-line auction in an attempt to reach the family. Please let me know if it could be your family. There may be a connection to Margaret Halsey the author as I found a news clipping in the books pertaining to her dated 1963.
