Hello, List. I am researching the family of my gr-gr-grandfather Edward Kavanagh, born 1805-10 in County Carlow, Ireland, emigrated to US about 1850. I have located him in "The Extant Records of Monongalia County, MN 1858-1870," listed as Edward *Caranage*, 53, Farmer, on a 1860 Census of P.O. Harrison. Further searching in "Kandiyohi County, MN Biography," the township of Harrison, page 231 First Settlers, Pre-emptors and Squatters, lists "CAVANAUGH, Edward-- Born in Ireland; located claim on sec. 18, Aug 17, 1857; secured title in 1862; moved to Wright county, where he died. CAVANAUGH, John-- son of Edward Cavanaugh; located claim on secs 18 and 19, Nov 1, 1858; enlisted in the war and was never heard from." Is anyone researching this family? I have both of them located in Wright County, but would like to flesh out the story of the years in this county. Thanks for any suggestions. Jean Gobel Tacoma, WA USA
