I've "rescued" an old photograph which is identified as "Della PORTER'S parents". The photograph was taken at the F. S. Goddard Studio in Willmar, Minnesota, likely sometime in the 1880's. The couple in the photograph appears to be in their 40's at the time it was taken. In addition to this information, someone has written the following additional information on the back of the photograph, "C. P. Or" and "Dec 30th 1915" and "to Mabel from Mama".
