    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Dokken/Dacken Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/wIB.2ACI/323 Message Board Post: I am trying to solve a mystery. My great-great grandmother is Jennie Dokken, born in 1871, in Kandiyohi County, of Norwegian parents. She married Andrew Weiss -in about 1892. Nobody in the family can remember her parents names or any of her siblings, and I found her birth and wedding date on a 1900 census, after she was already married. I live in Massachusetts now. I have located an 1880 census for a Dokken (Dacken) family which lists a daughter named Gina Andrine, brn 1871, in Kandiyohi County. This *could* be her, because all of the names in this census seem to be a little off, but I really would like to find an 1890 local census, and I am hoping I find this family to have a Jennie Dokken. National Archives do not carry the 1890 census, due to a fire, but I would imagine local records would still exist. If anybody out there has a Kandiyohi County 1890 census listing for the Mads C. Dokken (or Dacken) family from Norway, or if they can find anything about a girl named Jennie Docken -or if you may be related to and/or know anything about the Dokken families from this area, I would love to hear from you. They are possibly buried, I have found out from my mother's uncle, in the Greenlake Cemetery, because a family member named George drowned there. I am not certain if George was Jennie's child or brother, but I believe he was her child. Andrew and Jennie lived in Kandiyohi County for the first few years of married life, before moving to Ohio, and then back again to Kandiyohi County, I believe. After that, they moved around a lot.
