Everson of Gennessee Township passed away at the General Hospital at Willmar last Saturday afternoon, Dec. 14, after a lingering illness. The funeral services will be held at the Ebeneezer Lutheran Church at Kandiyohi on Wed., Dec. 18, at one-thirty o'clock." Willmar Weekly Tribune, No. 51, Vol. 41, 12-25-1935, p. 7: "Friends here were grieved to hear of the death of Mrs. William Everson, who passed away at the Willmar Hospital on Saturday afternoon." Willmar Weekly Tribune, 12-25-1935, p. 5: "Mrs. Wm. Everson Funeral services for Mrs. William Everson of Gennessee township were held at 1:30 at the Ebenezer Lutheran Church with Rev. G. W. Sanstead officiating. Mrs. Albin Hawkinson and Mrs. Oscar Erickson sang a favorite hymn of the departed. There were many beautiful floral offerings. Burial was in the family lot in the Ebenezer cemetery. The pallbearers were Earl Peterson, Wm. Peterson, Albert Okeson, Arnold Paulson, Victor Carlson and Charley Berg. Those from a distance attending the funeral were Alfred and Annie Lunn of Dassel, Bessie Offerdahl of Aberdeen, S. D., and Mrs. C. R. Dean of Röckham, S. D. Amy Gard Everson was born February 7, 1894, at Dassel. Her death occurred December 14. She was confirmed in the Mission church at Dassel May 15, 1910. On November 28, 1916, she was married to William Everson of Atwater. Mrs. Everson resided in the township of Gennesse from her marriage until her death. Mourning her death are her husband and eight children. The children are Myrvold, Winifred, Gertrude, Joan, James, Oliver, Jerome and an infant daughter. The following brothers and sisters survive: Mrs Hilda Nelson, residing in California, Annie Lunn of Dassel, Mrs. Bessie Offerdahl of Aberdeen, S. D., Mrs. Esther Dean of Rockham, S. D. and Alfred Lunn of Dassel." Willmar Tribune, No. 41, Vol. 22, Wed., 12-13-1916, p. 7: "Lunn-Everson Miss Amy Lunn of Dassel and William Everson, resident northwest of Atwater where he has a farm, were united in marriage Wednesday of this week by Rev. J. E. Linner at the parsonage. The wedding was a simple affair. Mr. and Mrs. Everson left at once for a wedding trip to Isles in the northern part of the state. Here is what I found from the Willmar West Central Tribune: "Mar. 22, 1988 Grace Langevin ATWATER--Grace M. Langevin, 81, of Atwater, died Monday at home. Funeral arrangements are pending with the Atwater Funeral Home. Mar. 23, 1988 Grace M. Langevin ATWATER--Grace M. Langevin, 81, of Atwater, died Monday at home following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Atwater funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Mars officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral at the funerall home. She was born March 15, 1907, in Lester Prairie, the daughter of Reuben and Ruby Johnson. She attended schools in Wisconsin, and was employed for 35 years at the Armor Co. in South St. Paul. On June 7, 1952, she married Raymond Langevin in St. Paul. After retiring in 1969, they moved to the Diamond Lake area, and later in 1980 moved to Atwater. She is survived by her husband, Raymond of Atwater. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister."

Kuver, 84, of Willmar died unexpectedly early Wednesday morning at Rice Memorial Hospital. Funderal arrangements with the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home are incomplete. July 25, 1988, A-10 Gertrude Kuver Willmar--Gertrude C. Kuver, 84, of Willmar, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning at Rice Memorial Hospital. Her funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Redeemer Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Biegner and the Rev. Richard Cook officiating. Burial will be Friday at the Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls. Friends may call from 4 p.m. Wednesday until noon Thursday at the Peterson Brothers Funeral Home. There will be no visitation at the church. She is survived by a son, Fred of Battle Creek, Mich.; a daughter, Joan (Mrs. Paul) Biegner of Willmar; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was born Sept. 17, 1903 in New York City, N. Y. to Gertrude and Charles F. Harwood. She grew up in the Bronx and Mt. Vernon, N. Y. and was baptized and confirmed at St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in New York. She married Dr. Fred Kuver Oct. 14, 1926. He practiced dentistry in Mt. Vernon and in Thief River Falls. He died in 1967. In 1976 Gertrude moved to Willmar with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, the Silver Ages and the early morning Bible study group. She was preceded in death by her husband."

I found the following from page 146 of the 1899 to 1903 book for marriages: Charley Russell and Katie Visscher each of Kandiyohi County were married on November 21, 1900 at Willmar by the Justice of the Peace (Geo. H. Otterness) Witnesses: Dave Kreps (it is possible the "p" in Kreps is something else, but I think that is correct) Mason Johnson (it is possible the "n" in Mason is something else, but I think that is correct) The marriage documents at this time did not give ages of the bride and groom. I was at the Willmar library and did not find anything in their indexes for the Willmar Tribune under these two names.
