    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/wIB.2ACI/339.1.1 Message Board Post: Dear Ernst, Thank you so much for your help. The 1892 Enoch from Mangskog Varmland is my grandfather. He ended up in Alexandria, and Rose was his wife, with my father Lester as the only son. As you noticed, there was a BIG difference in Enoch and Rose's ages, and I wondered if Enoch had been somewhere else or married before his marriage to Rose. He was quite a dapper smoothie, as I can tell from his photos. So this totally answers my question, the other Enoch is not the same man, there were probably no other families anywhere. I do wonder if the Enoch in Chicago could be him. Enoch's brother Fred lived near Chicago in his later life, so maybe Enoch was there at one time too. Thank you so much for doing all of that careful searching for me.

    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/wIB.2ACI/339.1 Message Board Post: Taryn, Here is some information about an Enoch Nilsson who emigrated from Sweden to USA on 29 March 1892: Unmarried farmworker, born 6 March 1873 in Mangskog, Värmlands län (county). He left from Fösked Västra, Brunskog, Värmlands län. Additional information is available at the Emigrantregistret in Karlstad, Sweden. Quote "Bilaga 0671892010". On the 1900 census there is an Enoch Nelson, 28, living in Illinois and working as a tailor. He is born in Sweden and emigrated 1892. On the 1910 census there is an Enoch Nelson, 37, living in Minneapolis but he is born in Norway. In 1910, there is also an Enoch F Nelson living in 1W-Alexandria, Douglas County, age 36, emigrated 1892 and is working as a clerk in a hardware store. He is born in Sweden and is living as a boarder, so presumably not married. However, on the 1920 census he appears to be married to Rose and they have a son 4 months old by the name Lester A. Enoch is now a real estate agent. In 1920 Enoch is 45 and Rose 26. They are still living in Alexandria, Douglas County, in 1930 and the census states Enoch was 44 and Rose was 22 at first marriage. Enoch is now a Justice of Peace working for the city and Rose is a sales lady in a department store. Could this be your grandfather - census ages are not always exact. There is a Enoch and Olida Nelson living in Kandiyohi County in 1930 but they are 38 and 37 years old at that time so Enoch's age does not fit and he is from Norway. These appear to be the closest in names and ages. I would be happy to send you any census images if you think one of the above is your grand father. Regards, Ernst

    1. Stillman Meeker was granted a land patent in this county, June, 1870, who were his neighbors?
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/wIB.2ACI/344 Message Board Post: I am researching the fact that a Stilman Meeker was given a land patent in 1870 in Kandiyohi county. Odd thing is that in the 1870 census, he is ennumerated ( as of june 1) in Castle Rock, DakotaCo, QUITE a distance away. Stillman was married and his wifes parents were ennumated in Willmar in that same census ( joel and rebecca Turner). Does anyone understand these land descriptions well enough to understand if one was granted a patent, who his surrounding neighbors were. I amj hoping if I can understand who the neighbors were it might lead to a family clue. Thanks, Sue

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wIB.2ACI/343 Message Board Post: I am trying to track down the whereabouts of Beverly Beihoffer, which is her maiden name. She would have graduated from high school in 1958. I have a gut feeling that she may have gone to high school in the Olivia, Hutchinson, or Litchfield areas. She is a former classmate and we would like to extend her an invitation to attend the Redwood Falls High School class reunion which is coming up in 2008. If anyone can give me any leads on how to locate and contact Beverly, it would be greatly appreciated.

    1. AGERHOLM Family Photograph
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" an old photograph of Lillie AGERHOLM which was taken at the J. C. Forsberg Studio in Willmar, Minnesota. The photograph appears to have been taken sometime in the 1880's with Lillie appearing to be in her teens or early 20's at the time it was taken. I'm hoping to locate someone from this AGERHOLM Family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to the care of her family. If you are a member of this family, or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

I believe Kate's father was a doctor. She died fairly young - 46. I don't have exact dates, but Kate and WM married perhaps late 1800s. I will look for more details if this looks like a match. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/wIB.2ACI/339 Message Board Post: I was looking for some information at the Iron Range research center online and came upon this couple from Kandiyohi county. I am wondering if this Enok/Enoch is my grandfather, born in Sweden in Mar. 6, 1873. MY Enok married in Douglas County in 1916 at age 43 to my grandmother, 21 years younger than he was. I have a suspicion that it wasn't his first marriage, and wonder if he was married before and living in Kandiyohi county. He wouldn't be in Kandiyohi on the 1920 census, but maybe there are earlier censuses? Or maybe there is a totally other Enoch Nelson, happily married to Olida. Is there anyone who could help with a census lookup or other info to see if this is the same Enok - Enoch, or if my suspicions might be worth following up on. Thanks, Taryn

Yes, I know where her parents died, however there were no obits for HARDIN in Dell Rapids, SD and Rose, her mother, died in Canada. The name is NOT Harder it is Hardin and in 1880 they were in Nebraska and since Hardin died in 1885, he would not have been in the 1900 census. Kate's mother was in the 1900 census located in Yankton, SD, however Kate was not with them according to the census. My grandfather was Kate's brother and according to my grandfather's obit, only the name Kate was mentioned without a married name.
