Missy go to the Kandiyohi Historical Society in Willmar and they have all there Cemeterys Indexed. They should have your relation's names if they are indeed buried in Lebanon. I have just recently started searching my family history and have been to Lebanon a few times in the last month. This list is probably better than the church's as the list they provided me with is missing for sure two relatives of mine who I know are buried there. I have not yet had the opportunity to talk to the person who is actually in charge of the cemetary, so I am hoping he has better records! Hope this helps. Missy bengtson

She was born on 19 Dec 1851 and died 02 Jan 1933 in Atwater, and at the time of her death was living with her son Herman, and is buried at Atwater Union Cemetery. I was hoping to find a newspaper obituary that made reference to other brothers and sisters. Thanks in advance Bill Colberg

Hi I live not to far from the Lebanon Cemetery in fact I was confirmed in that Church it is now a Historical Society, but I will run to town and walk the cemetery and see what I can come up with for you. If I do happen to find who you are looking for I will take a couple of digital pictures for you and send them along. One other note Kandiyohi County Historical Society has all the Cemeterys Indexed for this county, only thing is to bad they are not online. Otto was born in Germany 1863, died 11 Apr 1909 in Chippewa County, MN. His death certificate claims that he is buried in Edward Township. His wife Augusta Wilhelmina (Rathke) Mielke was born in Germany 1858, died 27 Oct 1924. Death certificate states she is buried in Chippewa Co, Lone Tree twp, Trinity Lutheran Cemetary. I think they both lived in or near Raymond, MN when they died. Unfortunately, I havnt been able to find them in any of the available online cemetary transcriptions, so havnt been able to verify the death location info. Any help or info is appreciated, thanks. :-)

Two girls - Marita (Martha) Melstveit, b. Sept. 29 1887 and Inger Storås (b. 1883) emigrated in 1904. Their first destination was Willmar, Kandiyohi Co.,Minnesota. Later on, we know Inger moved to King County. She is found where in the 1910 census in Seattle at 6th Presinst, in 1920 census at Kennydale Pricinot and in 1930 census in Seattle City. Inger (Engel) was married to Johannes Flatabø (b. 1879). Their children was Helga Flatabo b. 1906 in Minnesota, Borghild (Beekel) Flatabo b. 1907 in Washington, Eric Flatabo b. 1910 in Washington and Ingrid Flatabo b. 1915 in Washington. Flatabo have been spelled like Flatabo, Fletebo, Flateboe and Fletcher. At arriving at Ellis Island Martha is listing Christine Skaalheim as her relative/friend. She was married to John Skaalheim. I am searching Marita or Martha (she might have been called so in US), but if I could find any information on the other families, it might help me finding Martha. Martha might have used the second name Amundson as her maiden name. Martha had two sons.

I checked the census records and found them living in Collinwood Township, Meeker County in 1900, 1910, 1920, and 1930. Andrew and Helena Holmgren. If these are the right people you will need to find an obituary in Meeker County. She was probably in the hospital in Willmar and died there. Willmar was the regional hospital in 1939 as the smaller towns did not have hospitals at the time. Collinwood Township according to the map is close to Dassel. So could possible find in that paper or perhaps the Litchfield paper. Try the Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness (RAOGK) site and see if there is some one in Meeker County that could do a look up for you. Here is the address http://www.raogk.org/ If you want a copy of the census record let me know and I can send them to you. Briefly from the census. In 1930 ANdrew (age 86) and Helena (age 86) Holmgren living in Minnesota, Meeker County, Collinwood Township with son August age 50 In 1920 living also in Collinwood Town ship with 2 granddaughter Lillian and ?ester ????? 1910 living in Collinwood Township with daughter Amanda age 26 and grandson LeRoy Henry age 4 1900 living in Collinwood Township with daughter Emma age 20 and son Edwin age 13.
