Grandpa raised earth worms to sell in the shop. (They also were great for his garden!) Every winter, Al & Minnie went down to Florida for the winter, and Grandpa ran the bait shop for them. Al and Minnie were considerably younger than Newton and Ethel, so it was nice to know that N&E had caring neighbors who would notice if anything were amiss.
