Visitors searching ancestors in Itasca County will find a wealth in information at the Itasca Genealogy Club's library located on the top floor of the Bovey City Hall. The club has clipped and indexed vital record newspaper announcements, has copies of death certificates, and has transcribed all cemeteries in the county. They have all of the Scenic Range News on microfilm, plat maps with histories, and a great collection of local history publications. The city hall must be open to access the library, and then one must ask the city clerk or the Bovey Public Library's librarian to unlock the club's library; it is not open on the weekend; it is open to the public.
