His Mother's maiden name was Vogel. In the Itasca County Cemetery book for Calvary Cemetery I find on page 28: Brown Annie Mary "Mother" (CH: w/o Wilbur August 28, 1868 - November 13, 1929 Wilbur John "Father" March 27, 1866 - July 22, 1944 (CH: s/o Alonzo Brown h/o Anna Vogel James A. (CH: h/o Lucille Wilson November 28, 1905 - June 22, 1932 Page 32 of same book Brown "William L. Brown Family" Thomas A. CH: Thomas Anthony 1941-1985 CH: 25/29 October 1984 s/o William & Beatrice (Serbus) Brown William L. CH: William Laurence 1899-1956 CH: 3/7 Dec. 1957 a. 57 yr. 2 mo. s/o William John & Annie Mary (Vogel) Brown h/o Beatrice Eileen A. CH: Eileen Ann 1938-1938 CH: 3/5 August 1938 a. 4 mo. d/o William & Beatrice (Serbus) Brown Hope this helps some.
