Author: bluediamond8 Surnames: furley Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.minnesota.counties.itasca/682.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: that is so cool.i called my dad right away. my dad mike is the son of bill furley. dad is bills only blood son. he has a half brother by his mom. if your dad ever hung around grampas after he was older and married to rebecca. grandpa died in 85, grandma died in 2002. my mother and father have 3 paintings that great grandma minnie painted. i have scanned copies of them. i didn't even mention her painting and it was cool that you mentioned it. that those paintings and a picture of grandma minnie and news articles is all i have of her. she died after i was born, but the year we were in florida. my mom was pregenent with my little brother. any minnie history would be great. i am hoping to go to our local historical society for more research. i love learning family history. i want to go back to grand rapids one day to share what i grew up there and did. like grandpa bill, dad also joined the military 20 years in the air force. retired in oklahoma because grandma rebecca furley mo! ved here becuase being alone in minnesota was tough on her and all her children is here. she had to sell that great house by blandin beach. i wish i could buy that house or build a replica. i have 1 sister and 1 brother. my brother isn't married yet or have kids,right now he is the last of the male furley line. i'm the eldest daughter. married with 3 daughters myself. my email is [email protected] have a blessed day and thank you. you brought a smile to my morning hearing that others knew of her painting. i can even send a copy of the painting to you if you like.
