Looking for burial place of my gr-grandfather Louis HETU. According to his obit printed in the Itasca County Independent, he died 8/14/1904. It stated he was a well known resident of "the village" which appears to refer to Grand Rapids. The obit further states that "the funeral was held from St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. O'Mahoney officiating". No mention was made of burial place nor of survivors though I know he had a wife and 2 adult children living at that time. Can anyone advise as to the most likely burial place? Is the St. Joseph's Church cemetery still active? Would they have records dating as far back as 1904? Efforts to contact St. Joseph's Church via e-mail were unsuccessful nor was a death cert on file with Itasca County. Thank you in advance for any assistance. Jeanne K (in California)
