My grandparents, Joe and Cora Bothne homesteaded there for many years. Two of their neighbors were J.M. Anderson and Hans Anderson. Any information that you could extract from your book would be appreciated. Judie

I am going to Bigfork shortly, I wanted to go Thursday, but we got freezing rain and I did not dare go. I am also going to be stoping at the cemetery as my family is buried there. I knew a number of the Parson's, but no Della, but I will see what I can find out (if the weather stays decent). Hi everyone For those not aware, the LDS has added the 1880 US Federal census transcription, the 1881 Canadian census transcription and the 1881 British census transcription online! You can search just by name and birthplace if you want. It was a very large project. I read about it in the Minneapolis (Minnesota) Star-Tribune newspaper, since the University of Minnesota's, Minnesota Population Center helped the church process the data. Remember that these are transcriptions and many names are misspelled. Always look for the original record to verify these transcriptions. Hopefully this will help many people worldwide. http://www.familysearch.org regards Anna
Hi Listers If you do not regularily visit the Minnesota Historical Society webpage at http://www/mnhs.org then I encourage you to take a look at the new "video" production they have online, located on the main home page. It is called "Forests, Fields& the Falls" and is about how the forests, fields and falls all played a role in Minnesota's development. You need the Flash player, which you can download, and turn on your sound so you can listen to the introduction. The production is divided into those three sections and illustrated like an old comic book. But there are "buttons" you can choose to get to photos and captions about the photos. It is a nice look at the Minnesota Historical Society's large photo collection. Hope someone else enjoys it. Anna List Administrator
