I am trying to locate the family of Thomas and Elaine Cowan from Deer River. Their children were Becky and Brian. I have an old Christmas card they sent to my parents, Trav and Ruth Skallman. I am looking for obits for my great aunt and her husband. Mary had a stroke and soon after died in a Grand Rapids hospital on June 25, 1937. Her husband Oscar also had a stroke and died five weeks after Mary did. They lived in Deer River for many years but I don't know where they were buried. They had lived at a large summer resort where Oscar was in charge of the cottages and Mary in charge of the mail. I do know that Oscar had a brother Albin. Oscar and Mary were married in Deer River on Oct. 10, 1910. I would really appreciate any help I can get in finding their obits. Thank you. Wilda - Washington
