They did a look up for me of the death record of Bruce Tillotson, d. Dec. 6, 1999. They indicated their records contain information that he died in North Dakota, for some reason N.D. provided a courtesy by forwarding that info to Itasca Co. However that's all the info the court house has, nothing on place of burial. Did you contact the Grand Rapids, Mn., Public Library to request a look up of his obit? The reason I ask that is the place of burial should be indicated in the obit? Sharon Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. In attempting to obtain the obits, may I suggest you do a google search....Grand Rapids, Mn., public library. I believe they have a link where you can email and request a look up for the obit. I think they may even type the text of the obit for you as well as mail it. Their staff is A . I am going to be out of town tomorrow (Tues.) through April 14. After that, I could try my hand at attempting to find more info of the people you're seeking info for. More than likely they are buried at the Nashwauk Cemetery, located about 3 miles north of town. Again, I'll check and confirm that next week. Feel free to keep in touch with me, perhaps a reminder may be necessary if you don't hear from me by next Thurs. I won't be offended. Hi Bob, You don't know me, but my Dad was from Bigfork. My grandfather was Axel Skallman and his father-inlaw was Carl Nordlin, one of the early settlers of Bigfork. The Last Frontier sounds very familiar to me, but I can't find it. I thought my Dad had a copy. I have a book by James K. Knight, Bernard Pearson, and Patricia Navratil. I would love to hear more about Bergit Anderson, and I would love the link of your cousins pictures. Hello- I just came across the emails you two sent each other 4 years ago. I happen to 'google' , my (late) great Aunt: Bergit Anderson, and yours was one of the pages that came up. Speaking of Bigfork. I co-own, along with my cousin, my aunt's old cabin alongside the Bigfork river. Did you ever get the book? She wrote others also, one about our family's Norwegian roots entitled "Saga of Setesdals laget" and then two novels -- both unpublished. She had 3 sisters: Laila, Dora (my grandmother) and then Olga. If you're interested in pictures of that area, my cousin has many online. Let me know.
