Hi listers, This is my first posting here. I'm looking for a Robert Jones who immigrated from Denbigh, Wales in 1898. He married Erna Hermann around 1900 and they moved to Chicago shortly after. Robert died in Chicago in 1914. Based on the 1910 census, he had not become a citizen. Was there a large Welsh population in Minneapolis in the 1890s? Robert went to his cousin but unfortunately I can't read the cousin's name on the ship manifest info on the Ellis Island website. I'm hoping to find him on the 1900 census. Erna was from Hamburg, Germany. Was there a large German population there at that time? Supposedly she was connected with the German royal family. I don't know if it was as a servant or actually a royal family member. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. Nora Hopkins FitzGerald
