I just received the following announcement from the MN Historical Society. Subject: An announcement from the Minnesota Historical Society Dear Friend, As a subscriber to the Minnesota Historical Society's Online Death Certificate Index e-mail notification list, you asked to be notified of important updates. We're happy to announce two exciting additions to the web site at http://people.mnhs.org/dci. 1. E-Commerce Launches on Wednesday September 24, 2003 You're now able to place an on-line order for copies of death certificates and pay for them with a credit card via our secure site. There will be no more need to print and mail the order form. Since your order will automatically be entered in our system, you should receive your copies quicker. Thank you to those who participated in our beta test a few weeks ago. Your feedback was useful to help us improve the site. 2. Death Record Cards for 1907 Added to the Online Index Thanks to a volunteer who entered data from more than 20,000 death record cards for 1907, we are now able to provide this information on the online index. Death record cards date from 1900 to 1907 and precede the official death certificates. The cards are transcripts of death information that were compiled by the Health Department. Although they cover the entire state, they are not complete, and they are not official documents. Volunteers are currently doing data entry for the 1906 death record cards. When 1906 is complete, it will be added to the online index. Volunteers will continue data entry for preceding years until 1900 is complete. Thank you to all of our valuable volunteers! Good morning Claudia, What great news! Where do I go to order the death certificates on line? What will be the cost? What is the email address? It is exciting to know that I can order these certificates on line and wish to do so. Have a great day Marge Enjoying a cool, breezy Southern California morn.
Claudia: Is there a website where I can get marriage license's for around 1888? Are they even available? Can I just get an index for the groom, not sure of his spelling.
