    3. Roy, I just spent a half hour looking for some info for you. I only did this via the computer and here's what found. Roland C. Schmid DOB March 31, 1895 Died 10-13-74 SS # 474-14-9400 55391 Deephaven, Medina, Orono, Wayzata, Woodland all in Hennepin Co. MN. Paul W. Schmid turns out that it is probably Willard Paul Schmid. DOB I haven't found yet as the site is down right now. Died Dec. 7, 1953 Spouse: Marquerite Blekkink DOB 4-29-1903 Died 1-10-1998 Married 7-25-1925. Children 1. Sarah Louise Schmid 8-12-1927 and in 2004 2 living female children. Contact James Crawford jcrawford@earthlink.net Now, I have no idea if that e-address is even correct but you could write and see. Btw, I don't live very far from Deephaven and the other names of cities above. If I find any other info, I'll send it on. A charge of $15.00 per obituary (which is what I found available online) seems a bit over "minimum expenses". When I do lookups for someone in the Peoria area I do it when I'm doing my own research. I'm also in the process of doing a online tombstone photo index of a cemetery with over 70,000 interments which is quite time-consuming (only 67,000 more to go...) but am doing it for current and future generations of researchers in the area. My hope was that someone who frequents the library could take a few moments to look them up but I think I'll either pay to get them or plan a trip to Minnesota at some point to find them and perhaps be able to pursue even more information. Thank you to all that replied. It is not unreasonable to expect to pay the minimum expenses the person has incurred on your behalf. The MN History Center will search for obits for you, and I doubt that they make money on their fees for doing so. 3. Thank you to all who responded. With the info below and a couple other replies I now have a lead on a cousin! And I'd made reference to the wrong city - they were in the Minneapolis area, not St. Paul. With luck I'll know much more about that side of the family soon.
