I am seeking info about and hopefully contact with members of a PENLEY family who went to MN from MA. I have no idea how directly they moved or when. However I did find in the 1930 Census, Golden Valley, Hennepin Co, MN: PENLEY, Leon 56 Head Both parents b ME Alma 46 Wife Parents b Sweden and New York Dean 28 Son Both parents b MN Robert 17 Son Both parents b MN Also, Kathrine HINES, generously gave me the following info re MN deaths: Leon PENLEY d 1951 Alma Charlotte PENLEY d 1975, mother's maiden name JONES Robert E PENLEY d 1995, mother's maiden name, ROSING How is Mahala PENLEY, who died in 1927, related to this family ? This family is related to a Romellia PENLEY PEARY (b abt 1836 ME, who lived in MA as an adult, and her dau, Josephine PEARY PHILLIPS). Romellia had a brother or nephew whose family removed to MN. I believe this is the family of the missing cousins that I am looking for. Any help in locating more info abt them and hopefully contacting living descendants will be most gratefully appreciated. I am trying to bring this PENLEY family from Maine up-to-date from the 1950's manuscript of some 150 typed pages (written by Robert Irving PENLEY b 1909 of ME, MA, SAS Can and ONT Can who did research in England and was my mother's third cousin) about the family and descendants of Joseph PENLY who arrived in Freeport, ME abt 1770 from England, served in the Rev War, 1m widow Esther FOGG JOHNSON, 2m Thankful MOODY. There were ch from both marriages. Janice
