Claudia I have accessed that site before, and just did so again when I read your message and everything was fine. Did you try accessing it a second time? Make sure your Anti-Virus software is totally updated and try it again. How ever strange Jo ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
Hi Jo, Thank you and everyone who checked the "I Dream of Genealogy" site out, but I just tried to access it again and got the same Warning---"This is a dangerous website and contains spyware" Then it warned me not to enter the site and to close my browser. I use Trend Micro/PC-Cillin anti-virus and just updated to the latest version, so that can't be the problem. This program has been highly rated and I really like this feature because as you know, all one has to do is visit a site and you can get a virus or collect spyware. I do a lot of internet searching through google and only one other time have I gotten this warning when clicking on a link. Not sure what to think, but I guess I'll stay away from "I Dream of Genealogy". It is weird! Sorry, I know this is off topic but I wanted to see if this was a problem for anyone else. Yep, Trend Micro considers it "dangerous". Google "what is bfast.com" as that is where Trend Micro says it's coming from. That will tell you more. Who wants their cookies? And they'll track you as you surf the net. ;-( AnnE Hi Jo, Thank you and everyone who checked the "I Dream of Genealogy" site out, but I just tried to access it again and got the same Warning---"This is a dangerous website and contains spyware" Then it warned me not to enter the site and to close my browser. Thanks Ann, I really felt I should trust Trend Micro, why take a chance! It's not a site I really NEED anyway. The others who responded might want to do a scan and check for the spyware. Use cleaning programs to clear cookies. There are a lot of free ones available so you can take your pick. I use CCleaner every night. The key to cleaning cookies is to remember that some cookies are good and should be retained. I subscribe to Ancestry. I also bank on line and buy from Amazon and bid at eBay. I use and keep their cookies.
