Judy, I have the 1902 Minneapolis City Directory and Samuel McGuinn is not listed that year. Of course you said Samuel was 26 years old in 1910, so he would have only been 16 in 1900 and 18 in 1902 and possibly still with his parents. I also have the 1916 Minneapolis City Directory and didn't find him that year either. In the 1920 census I found a Catherine McGuinn, age 65, born OH and parents born OHIO living in Vigo County, Harrison twp. as a roomer, with the Rousch family, Frank age 28, wife Emma age 28, a son John Rousch age 1/10. Also living in the household were Byron Boston, age 22 a roomer, and George (Krebes?) age 28, roomer. I don't know if this is your Catherine, but was the only Catherine McGuinn I found in Vigo County. I found a Samuel "McGuin" who died in Wright County MN in 1926. His name appears in the MN Death Indexes, online at http://people.mnhs.org/dci/Search.cfm I couldn't find Samuel McGuinn in the 1920 census. He doesn't show up in Hennepin County MN or Vigo County IN. He is listed in the 1910 census as being 26 years old for Minnesota, Hennepin, West Minneapolis. Does anyone have access to the 1900 or 1920 census to see when he went to Hennepin. Also looking for his father, Martin McGuinn my ggrandfather who disappeared around 1905-1909. Cannot find any place that he might have died. He was born in Ireland, 1841-46 married in Cincinnati, moved to Parke County, IN and then his family is in Vigo County in the 1910 census but he is not listed. His wife Catherine is listed as a widow. > Any help on these brick walls would be greatly appreciated! > Judy >
