He was married to Anne Karine Jakobsdatter Kattestad ,born 1840 in Vardal ,Oppland County. They emigrated to USA in 1879 (??) ,and had at least 8 children: 1 Halvdan Haraldson ,b. 12 Mar 1859 Torpa. 2 Sigrid Haraldson ,b. 3 Jul 1861 Torpa, 3 Mathea Haraldson ,b. 8 Feb 1864 ,Torpa , 4 Edvard Haraldson ,b. 11 Dec 1866 Torpa , 5 Inger Susanna Haraldson ,b. 1869 Torpa. 6 Andreas Haraldson ,b. 13 Jan 1872 Torpa , 7 Anna Haraldson ,b. 14 Apr 1874 Torpa ,and 8 Klara Haraldsond ,b. 16 Apr 1877 Torpa.
