Claudia Not sure why she is contacting you as this is not a genealogy issue, it is her own birth certificate that she wants. But aren't you supposed to know everything? LOLOL She should contact the Minnesota Vital Records office, just as anyone else would who needs a copy of their birth certificate. She has to pay the same costs and she will get a copy that is valid for all purposes, with her adoptive parents names listed as her parents. Basically it is exactly like any other certificate, it does not indicate in any way that there was an adoption. Jo

I think we have answered a lot of other questions that were a lot further off our path than trying to help someone with a question about a birth certificate. We listen to petty arguments that used to go on for some time until Claudia took over.
