Ms. McCoy's husband was probably a veteran and there is book with all MN Civil War guys with some info. You can search for Savage graveyards on Google; yet she might have been buried in Native site. The Mendota Mdewakanton might have some info too, and several folks from Grey Cloud Island belong to this group that has done so much recently. You can Google there too. And try Dakota County Historical Society too. The trail will get longer and more complicated and bring more agony and joy, if you will focus on history rather then iffy genealogy.
