List, I found a family of DEROUIN in 1870 census of Ancestry.com image # 7 of 15, Federal Census, MN, Hennepin, Dayton Jun 1870 line #4 visit # 90 family # 87 I suspect George, their son to be GG, my brick wall for 5 years searching. The birthdate for my George Edward Derouin is 1848 born Canada and this George is 1852/53, born Canada, so the date is 4 years off, common with genealogy, but I just wanted to find this family to verify his history connection or not to my GG. I will check the LDS and see if microfilm for Dayton, Hennepin County is listed. census DEROUIN, Jerry age 58 white male farm laborer and wife Amy ae 45, and other members are Emma 19 Mary 18 Alamanda 15 Angelina ? George 17 ( born 1852/53 ) Canada Severn 13 Frank 11 Henry 10 all the family born Canada. They are not found in 1880 census in US or 1881 Canada as far as I can see. 1880 Clearfield Co. Woodward Twp. PA, GG George Edward Derouin, born Canada 1847 / 48, wife Susan born PA, he died 1882, after death of Susann, leaving two orphan sons. There are no records in PA of BMD. I searched ancestry for each member of the Jerry Derouin family, but have not found them. How could they not be in 1880 census?
