Iris, It's sounds as though your grandfather was definitely moved from another cemetery. I would have thought there would be a notation on the lot card and the girl at the cemetery might have had this information. I'm not sure if the death record would have a note on this? Their obituary, if they had one, might list the original cemetery. I know some of my husband's family were moved from Pioneers & Soldiers (Layman's Cemetery) to Lakewood, but there was a note at Lakewood giving the date and place they were removed from. I'm glad I was able to help otherwise. Maybe someone else on the list has insight on this as well. Possibly, the babies were buried in the same plot because the families did not have money to buy a separate plot??
