Melodee - I grew up in NE Minneapolis and remember Central Avenue for sure. It is a long busy street with many businesses. Off the top of my head I can remember 3 drug stores on the corner of Lowery & Central. Can't remember their names though. There were other Drug stores on Central, but I would have to do some digging to find their names and locations. The 1929 Minneapolis City Directory would have all of them listed and that is where I would look if you need further info. The Minneapolis directories are at the Minneapolis Central library and the Minnesota History Center in St Paul.
