This is my first posting to the list. I have found my GG-grandmother Rosanna LAMB on the 1880 Minneapolis, census. age 51, Widow ( of John) She was keeping house for my then unmarried G-grandmother & G-uncle. Hi Joanne, I didn't see any good possibilities on the death index for Rosanna. Have you found obituaries for the people with whom she was living? She might be mentioned as either predeceasing or surviving them. Either way it would narrow your search. It's possible she died before 1908 when death certificates were the "norm". Have you checked into the death register for 1899 or the death cards from 1900 to 1907? There is information about both on my web site (address below). Let me know if I can be of help. I would try St. Anthony's Cemetery, Minneapolis - if she was living in Minneapolis when she became a widow, that's where her husband would be most likely buried. Their records are kept at the office St. Mary's Cemetery, 4403 Chicago Avenue Minneapolis, MN 55427 612-822-0907.
