    1. [MNHennep] VOGEL Family Photographs
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I've "rescued" two old photographs belonging to the VOGEL Family of Minnesota. The first is a photograph of Mary and Julia VOGEL which was taken at the Miller Studio in Minneapolis, MN. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with the two women looking to be in their teens and 20's. In addition to their names, someone has written "Hattie BENSON's sisters" on the back of the photograph. The second photograph is identified as Mark VOGEL & Family. This photograph has not studio or location indicated and is an outdoor photograph. The family includes an older couple, likely in their 50's along with a younger couple looking to be in their 20's, and two small children. The older of the two children appears to be a girl about 5 years old, the younger a boy about 4 years old. I was able with limited research to find census information which may relate to these VOGEL women: 1900 census of Fort Snelling, MN: Julia VOGEL, age 23, a servant in the Edward JONES Household, born Dec 1876, born MN, parents born Germany, a Cook 1910 census of Minneapolis, MN: Hattie VOGEL, age 26, a companion in the home of James & Lizzie MCDONALD, born MN, parents born Germany I've no idea how the people in the photographs are connected, but they were recovered together so I am certain there is some type of connection. I am hoping to be able to return the photographs to family and would appreciate your contacting me if you are related or know someone who might be. Thanks, Shelley
