Thank you for the help of the site, Larry. I am working on it, and it looks like it will work. Claudia, I am now quite sure that no one from the list sent the site in. I knew the minute the search engine popped up, it wasn't right. And you are doing a great job! I am glad to be getting rid of the parasite. Karolyn
BEWARE THIS IS NoT A VIRUS BE CAREFUl PLEASE I had followed up on a search engine someone had recommended and ended up getting a search engine with many suggestive adult materials on it. It knocked out my home page, brought with it many popup ads of adult material, put folders into my Favorites folder, and my homepage was now that search engine. Everything I tried to do to knock it off failed. A popup ad came from Internet Explorer to put the updates on to take care of this problem and even then they continued. I just came from my computer store, and they said many people are having the same problem and sometimes it works its way into the hard drive, and only the computer store knows how to get rid of it for $50 - $60. I may try a couple of other patches from Microsoft before I give into that.

Ellis (age 56) does not have a headstone at her grave, sorry. However, she is buried next to a William T. Ellis, age 17, died Feb. 19, 1883. Both Bessie and William were originally buried in Layman's Cemetery (now Soldiers' and Sailors') in Minneapolis and transferred to Lakewood November 29, 1899. In the same burial plot are John H., Mary E., and daughter Pluma Marie Milton. Don't know if they are related, but you might. I have a copy of the original plot map and pix that i can send if you want to contact me offlist. Hope this helps, Bob Cook in the Minneapple
Gene, I announced that a while ago, but I also put a link on the Hennepin site for it under "Census Information". It's called Kinsource. http://kinsource.com/index.htm You can try it for 30 days for $9.00 or $25.00 for six months. HI All: Some where on the Minn. site I believe we found an add for research on the 1885 census which had a mo./ or longer period for subscription to it. Doe any one recall it or have the URL. If you are using Internet Explorer, first open it. At the top on the menu bar, select Tools, and then Internet Options. In the middle of the window that opens, you will see a button that says Delete Cookies. You can safely delete the cookies, and when you revisit sites that you want to use, the cookies will download again. But at least you will get rid of unwanted cookies. They have nothing to do with genealogy and I find them offensive. Karolyn

Have you tried to find her obit? Annie in Minnesota
I have tried the Lakewood Cemetery.com web site and they verify that Bessie T. Ellis is buried there. She died Oct. 2nd. 1895. She was born in England in 1839, Site Id 254-15-4. My question is, is there any way of finding out if her birth dates might be on her stone. There were so many Elizabeth Tomlinsons born in England in 1839 that in order to find out where she was born and who her parents were I need to know the month and day she was born. Can anyone help me with this? I would surely appreciate even a suggestion as to how to go about finding out this information. Many thanks. Cynthia

I have just added a new page to the Hennepin County site, with permission from the Hennepin County Historical Society. The article, which lists early land owners of St. Anthony Minnesota before 1855 with a plat map, shows the section the holders settled on and short biographies of each settler. I have posted it under the link "History of Hennepin County". http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnhennep/patentees.htm Claudia Schuman - Coordinator http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnhennep/ http://hennbios.tripod.com/index.htm http://fdlbios.tripod.com/index.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnscott/index.htm

Hi, Do you know the name of the parish where Oscar Emanuel and Frida were born? It´s easier to search if you know the name of the parish. Hello Bengt: This is what I have although it seems a very long list of places. Gunsjagarden, Vitsand, Lysvik, Fryksdal, Varmland, Vasby. I have a photo of the church which I believe was in Vasby. Does any of this make sense to you???? How happy my Father would have been to know I have corresponded with a fellow Swede. Take Care Doris -----Original Message----- From: Bengt Östbom [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, November 08, 2003 12:53 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [MNHENNEP] GRUNDSTROM Hi, Do you know the name of the parish where Oscar Emanuel and Frida were born? Just for information, in Europe people are buried in a 8 x 8 plot, I mean dozens, what they do is take up the bones of those buried for a long time and put them in a bag and set them in one corner. This is a procedure that has been going on for centuries. Don (just came back from CR and found my ancestors going back to my 4th gr. grandfather all in one plot. > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] > Sent: Wednesday, November 05, 2003 12:50 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [MNHENNEP] Claudia > > > In a message dated 10/27/03 5:49:44 PM Central Standard Time, > [email protected] writes: > > > > Here in Minnesota it is normal practice to bury one person per > grave.
