Hi Folks! I'm truly sorry if I asked you folks on this list for "to much" help. However, I want to thank Anna and Ellen of the Swedish List for taking the time and effort to help me. PS. Claudia, if I could afford the luxury of subscribing to the .coms you mentioned, I would. But that's another story........ Ron, That's a lot of lookups to ask someone to do. I don't think you realize how time consuming going through the census pages are for some of us "dial-up" modem users. You might want to subscribe to the census yourself. www.ancestry.com or www.genealogy.com They have monthly subscriptions too. It's not that we don't want to help people, but it's not quite fair to ask for so much when others are paying for their subscriptions. Shoot, I didn't mean for that e-mail to Michelle to be public!! I don't want "everyone" to know I'm such a dummy for missing her e-mail!! lol. Well, as long as I'm here, have any of you heard of "GenCircles"? It was recommended by a reliable source. You might want to take a look. http://www.gencircles.com/ I also posted the link to GenCirlces on the Hennepin site under "Misc. Links". In case you want to check it out later. Thanks! Michelle, I was just going through my inbox and found your e-mail below! I feel terrible that it was missed in the shuffle of the many e-mails I get daily. I truly appreciate each and every one who is willing to do lookups and I never ignore volunteers! This was a complete oversight on my part and I apologize. I've added your offer to do lookups on the Hennepin County page and appreciate your help. A new photo has been added on the "Unidentified Photos" page on the Hennepin site. The photo, of a little girl standing by a car with Minnesota license plates - 1945, was found in a box of family photos in Hager City, WI. Take a look at the picture. Believe it or not, by posting this family on a couple of Czech lists in 1992 I have actually been contacted by cousins who were descendants of every line except the one, Joseph. The lastest was 3 months ago, again from that 1992 posting, by a cousin in WA state. This is also one reason why I have never changed ISPs or email addys. When I am still getting answers to posts from 10 years ago, I am finding that was the best decision I ever made, even though for a bit it was quite expense until AOL decided to join the crowds of cheaper service. Especially when, like today, I try to contact someone who posted something two years ago and can't because the addy is no good now and they haven't bothered to get it updated on the post. When I think of the number of contacts I have made (nearly 50) from old posts that others are missing because of frequent addy changes, I shudder. Annie in Minnesota

Claudia, Is there a Family Group Sheet page for Hennepin County? Annie in Minnesota
Two new websites have been added to the "Online Families" page on the Hennepin County site. CARR, DUVAL, HANLEY, LEDUC & MCDONALD. "Carr & Plo(e)ger Families of Chicago, Illinois and Related Lines. Information about those lines can be found in the Genealogy Reports of Daisy Madora LeDuc and Jesse Madden Carr found on the above website. Descendants of Ole Anderson Aasve and Christiana Ovedia Rygg of Norway, Minnesota, Kansas and Oregon. Some of the descendants lived in Hennepin County. Jan Everly Williams. If you have a web page that includes ancestors who lived in Hennepin County, send me the URL, with a brief description of the contents of your site and the surnames you're researching and I'll post them on the "Online Families" Page. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnhennep/online.htm Also, please feel free to send in biographies--and a picture of your Hennepin County Ancestors for the "Hennepin Biography Project" http://hennbios.tripod.com/index.htm . Photographs for the "Unidentified Photos" page http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnhennep/unident.htm and the "Lost and Found Treasures" page. http://www.rootsweb.com/~mnhennep/wanted.htm Here are some ways you can help as well if you have resources and time to help others: SUBMIT RECORDS TO THE ARCHIVES. Transcribe public records - census, plats, cemeteries, land deeds, births and deaths, marriages, voters' lists, post office locations - any public record that will help genealogists find their ancestors, even if the record is for a small area or short time period. Everything helps. Contact the county or state coordinator if you have data for the archives. OFFER TO DO LOOKUPS. Do you have an old plat book, a church or town history, or anything similar on the history of an area and its people? Can you look up records at your county courthouse or historical society? Contact the coordinator of the county for which you have reference material and offer to do lookups for other researchers. Please see the USGenWeb Project's Official Copyright Policy regarding copyrights and lookups. POST QUERIES. Someone may be looking for the information you have as well as having the information you need. SUBMIT YOUR SURNAMES. This is another way for people to find you and share family records. Visit the county web sites where your ancestors lived and submit your surnames to the county coordinator. Please e-mail if you can contribute or help out in any way. Thanks!
