Joy, isn't ixwebhosting the server the USGenWeb site is on and the one MTGenWeb was on that repeatedly got hacked by the Chinese? When it worked it worked well but before checking them out can you let me know? Kathy, I can always ask. Maybe I can open up a dialogue between you and them and you can fast track what you will need to know? I think they also utilize PHP but not sure as that is not my cup of tea. We will figure out something. BTW they already took copies of everything on RW sites several years ago. They said you are using our site so it's our data. I will let you know what I can find out. Tim, I don't think you will have to worry about "any time soon". This will take a while to get going and even longer to accomplish. :) Karen On Thu, Apr 2, 2015 at 11:23 AM, Karen De Groote <[email protected]> wrote: > Joy, isn't ixwebhosting the server the USGenWeb site is on and the one > MTGenWeb was on that repeatedly got hacked by the Chinese? I've had a personal site hosted with IXWebhosting since 2008, and maintain another organizations site with them as well, neither have ever been hacked and I only recall maybe one time they were down due to host issues. To the best of my knowledge, the MTGenWeb has not been hacked during the 8 years I have been a member.
