    1. Re: [MNGEN] SC Question for Shirley & Martha

    3. Colleen & List Thank you for the question. Balancing the duties of SC, CC and life in general takes practice and a sense of humor. Here in CA, I have 3 great ASC's to help if things go awry. But as mentioned in my other note, we are a laid-back group and mature enough to deal with the ebb and flow of life on and off line. One of my mantra's is: Health and Family First. So if there are issues, and folks want to mention it to me, then I am available to listen. As a CC for many Counties, I deliberately make time to work on them. This is what I signed up to do and any time I think I can't do the job, I will step down. It is a matter of being honest with myself. If I 'over commit', I am the first one to say 'whoa'. If elected to SC of MN, the first thing I would do is get at least 3 ASC's in place and divvy up the Counties between the 4 of us. It is an exercise in frustration to think that any one person can handle almost 90 Counties and do a decent job. My personal life is one of organized decisions. I do what I can as a Volunteer and as a parent of three 'card carrying adults'. My Grandchildren [5] are all grown, I do not have to babysit, nor do I have Gr Grandchildren to play with. I have no pets, but do plant veggies in the spring. Martha

    3. Martha, I enjoyed your answer to this question. Yes, LIFE definitely is a juggling act....and some of us are better at it than others......you seem to have the right attitude and the process works for you. Juggling and Multi-Tasking -- that is what we all do, right? I do very much the same with the counties and special projects that I am involved with, too. My best to you all, Linda Z.
